RPL Migration Skill Assessment
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is a document submitted for skill assessment by those engineers who do not have information and communication Technology (ICT) qualifications or any tertiary ICT qualifications. Australian Computer Society (ACS) is the authorized body that assesses the RPL form. There are many ICT professionals who do not have a relevant educational qualification but have learned and gained experience in the ICT industry. The purpose of RPL for ACS Skills assessment is to give an opportunity to those professionals to showcase their skills who have a non-ICT qualification. The first section called “Key Area of Knowledge” in ACS RPL form allows non-ICT qualified professionals to showcase how they acquired relevant skills by working in the industry. The second section “Project Report form” gives them the opportunity to substantiate their skill by providing details of 2 projects from their professional career. Such candidates should apply for assessment through the ACS RPL skill assessment process.
They have to provide details about their qualifications and work experience to the ACS for Skilled Assessment Australia through RPL Report Form for migration to Australia. There are two categories in which the engineers can apply for ACS RPL skill assessment Candidates, who are qualified with a degree but the qualification is not related to ICT, should have been a professional ICT employee in an organization with at least six years of experience.
