Continuing Professional Development for NER
CPD shows your skillsets and knowledge in the engineering field you claimed. It is a crucial part of the National Engineering Registration (NER) application. You have to display how much of the CPD hours you’ve accomplished in the past three years. The minimum CPD training is of 150 hours for the past three years to become eligible for NER. However, if you do not meet the 150 hours of CPD, you must provide at least 50 hours in the last twelve months.
The candidates will be subjected to a review every five years, along with the evaluation of their CPD records and statements. The total timing for the first review will depend on your CPD hours in the last three years before submitting your application. If you have recorded 150 hours of CPD in the past three years, you will be subjected to a review in five years. For the CPD of only 50 hours in the past twelve months, at the time of applying to the NER, your review will be earlier than the first case. Your CPD Activity should demonstrate your technical skills of at least fifty per cent.
